Polar – Georgia Peach
/Finally… Polar seltzer water showed up in my local store again—I was worried they had gone out of business—so I looked for their website—far from out of business—more flavors than ever! Though… I still haven’t been able to find their most elusive (when it should be the easiest to find, the flavored water standard) Vanilla. Why is it so scarce? Because they only bottle it in the big, plastic bottles, and no one wants plastic. Hey, Polar? Vanilla in cans! Of course, maybe it’s a terrible vanilla, like the version of vanilla in flavored coffee (i.e. undrinkable). But seeing how Polar is very good with flavors, I am hopeful. This one I’m trying now, Georgia Peach, has a remarkably accurate peach flavor. You wouldn’t confuse this with anything else. Peach is another flavor that can (and has) gone wrong. See: Peach schnapps. Of course, as I always point out, I used to be a fan of Richard’s Triple Peach Richard’s Trippple Peach Richard’s Trippple PPPeach Wine, so I’m never going to be too hard on people who have a taste for a nightmarish travesty of a beverage. But this version, very good. The can’s a bit half-assed, but okay. Oh, also, I think it’s funny that it’s called Georgia Peach instead of just peach. Are Georgia peaches different, or is Georgia just known for peaches? Well, either way, it has a nice ring to it.
