Sappo Hill – Sandalwood
/“Sappy Hell (Just Kidding)”
I bought a little hockey puck of this pleasant smelling (it’s sandalwood!) skin friendly soap at a local health food store while cat sitting (don’t try to find a connection) because it was inexpensive and I liked how there’s ZERO packaging (just a barcode sticker which comes right off). I was thinking it’s somewhat obscure, and/or local—but then realized it’s neither of those—it may well even come from a giant factory somewhere (I have no idea, really) with no human hands ever touching it until it gets shelved in every heath food store in the country. But that’s okay, and is in fact used AS a hockey puck in an odd league where they slide around in socks on polished floors hitting soap pucks with soft foam sticks. That’s not true—do you believe everything I make up in these “reviews?” I hope everyone realizes I don’t use AI to write this crap—why would I? It’s fun. Would I use AI to eat tacos and watch TV? Because that’s the remainder of my fun on this Saturday night. We live in one messed up world. But I guess we always have—just new ways to be messed up. For instance, you can buy a sock monkey, classically proportioned, sewn, and stuffed, but made by machines (or exploited labor in other lands) yes, cheaper than I could sell them, made from my used, old, socks—if I’m paying myself minimum wage for sewing. But I truly believe my oddly shaped, poorly stitched monkeys exude personality and love in a way the factory models never can. Same with my “reviews”—I hope. This is an “OK” soap, but I’m not proposing marriage to it at the next board meeting or anything.
